Mohamed Salah starred as Egypt secured their place in the 2026 World Cup with a commanding 3-0 victory over Djibouti in Casablanca.
He scored a brace to seal the win, following an early opener from Ibrahim Adel. With the result, Egypt clinched the top spot in Group A and qualification with one round to spare.

Salah also made history — by netting his 20th goal in World Cup qualifiers, he became the all-time top scorer in African qualifying. In doing so, he surpassed legends such as Didier Drogba and Samuel Eto’o, many of whom needed far more matches to reach their tallies.
