Everton secured a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, marking their fourth victory in six Premier League matches under manager David Moyes.

The match began with Crystal Palace applying early pressure. In the 20th minute, Jefferson Lerma headed the ball into the net from a corner, but the goal was disallowed as the ball had previously gone out of play.

Despite Palace’s dominance, Everton took the lead in the 42nd minute. Carlos Alcaraz orchestrated a swift counter-attack, threading a precise pass to Beto, who slotted the ball under goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Palace responded immediately after halftime. In the 47th minute, Marc Guéhi’s header found Jean-Philippe Mateta, who fired past Jordan Pickford to equalize. This goal marked Mateta’s 12th in the league this season.

The decisive moment came in the 80th minute. Ashley Young’s cross was deflected into Alcaraz’s path, and the midfielder calmly finished to restore Everton’s lead.
