Amad Diallo goes viral for picking Davido over Wizkid and Burna Boy

A video of Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has taken social media by storm after he took part in a “Start, Bench, Sell” challenge involving Nigeria’s Afrobeats heavyweights — Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy.

In the viral clip, the Ivorian attacker was asked to make the tough call between the three global stars. After pausing to think, Amad smiled and declared he would start Davido, bench Burna Boy, and sell Wizkid.

The 23-year-old explained that Davido tops his playlist, so the decision came naturally to him. However, his comments quickly ignited heated reactions online, with fans of all three artists weighing in.

Wizkid FC in particular voiced their displeasure, taking playful jabs at the United forward for putting their “Machala” last.

Davido’s loyal supporters, known as 30BG, flooded the comments with praise for Amad — especially as Manchester United had just defeated arch-rivals Liverpool earlier that day, October 19, 2025.

One excited fan wrote, “Sweet Fanta Diallo,” while another defended his choice, saying, “Everyone has their taste. Let the guy enjoy Davido’s music.”

Meanwhile, a Manchester United supporter who also backs Wizkid joked, “Amad wan sell our Machala? We go sell you first!”

The clip continues to trend across X and Instagram, with fans still debating whether Amad’s selections were fair — or just proof of where his Afrobeats loyalty truly lies.
