Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has hailed Erik Ten Hag and Ruud Van Nisterooy for the development of Amad Diallo.
The 22-year-old Ivorian winger scored the winner to give Ruben Amorim his first Manchester Derby win over Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday.
Amad scored on the 89th minute as controlled a cross from deep over Ederson before slotting the ball into the back of net.
The former Atalanta winger also won the penalty that brought the Red Devils level after Joskol Gvardiol’s opener.
Speaking after the match, Ruben Amorim credited former manager Erik Ten Hag and interim boss Ruud Van Nisterooy for helping Amad Diallo’s development.
“He’s so good, so humble. But let’s stay calm with Amad, keep calm”.
“Ten Hag and Van Nistelrooy did a great job with him, we continue that. Really important”,
Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes also hailed Amad for his talent and work ethic.
“When he is like this he is unstoppable”.
“I just want him to keep working, that is what he has been doing. It is great what he did but I am sure he can do this every week”.
“We want this week in, week out!”.
Amad Diallo has enjoyed a positive run of performances under the Portuguese manager with four goals and six assists in 22 appearances so far this season.
