Anthony Joshua has reignited his rivalry with Tyson Fury after taking a pointed swipe at the Gypsy King on social media.
In a post on his Instagram Story, the former two-time heavyweight champion praised fellow fighter Joseph Parker as a “real general” for taking on all comers, before contrasting him with Fury, whom he labelled “dippy.”
Joshua went further, claiming he could dismantle Fury’s record “in minutes,” but hinted he was saving that for when the two finally share the ring.
“I’ll be back… hopefully punching Fury’s head in and dancing around his flicker jab with ease,” Joshua told fans.

The remarks come as Joshua looks to plot his return following his knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois in September 2024. Promoter Eddie Hearn has suggested the Briton could be back in action by early 2026, with a tune-up bout, possibly in Ghana, being lined up before a major fight.
Fury, meanwhile, has been inactive since suffering consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, the last of which came in December 2024.
He announced his retirement in January this year, though speculation continues to swirl over whether he might be tempted back for a blockbuster showdown with Joshua.
For now, Joshua’s comments serve as both a challenge and a warning—fueling hopes that the long-awaited “Battle of Britain” could finally happen, if Fury decides to lace up his gloves once more.
