Tolu Arokodare scored his 24th goal of the season in Genk’s impressive road win over Gent in the Belgian Jupiler League Championship playoffs on Sunday.
The Super Eagles striker scored the last goal for the visitors to register his 21st league goal of the campaign for Genk.
Arokodare came on as a second-half substitute in the match and scored with two minutes left on the clock from a one-man counter-attack.
Tolu Arokodare has been in great form this season and is currently attracting suitors from top clubs in Europe as his departure from Genk looks imminent in the summer.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles midfielder Ibrahim Olawoyin got on the scoresheet in the nine-goal spectacle between Rizespor and Göztepe on Sunday evening.
Olawoyin put the host ahead for the second time in the match after Goztepe’s equalizer. The match ended 6-3 in favour of Rizespor as they move away from the drop zone.
The former Enugu Rangers attacking midfielder also provided an assist to wrap up a brilliant display in front of the home fans.
Ibrahim Olawoyin has five goals and seven assists in 30 Turkish Super League matches for Rizespor this season.
The attacking midfielder will look to add to his tally with two matches left in the Turkish top flight.
