Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly preparing a move for West Ham and Ghana forward Mohammed Kudus.
Under Arteta’s guidance the Gunners have turned into one of the best defensive teams in Europe, but this season their offensive play has taken a major hit.
According to the Daily Mail, Arteta is ready to fix the goalscoring problem and will convince the club to trigger Kudus’ £85m release clause to address their goal-scoring woes.
Kudus impressed with 18 goals in his debut season with the Hammers but has managed only two goals this campaign.
The Gunners are fourth in the Premier League standings, 9 points off leaders Liverpool, and Arteta knows they cannot afford to slip up even further.
Kudus may be expensive but he will instantly become the team’s second-best forward behind Bukayo Saka, and an upgrade on Arteta’s options.
