Super Falcons’ Ashleigh Plumptre is in a relaxed mood ahead of the quarter-final fixture against the Copper Queens of Zambia tomorrow.
The left-back admits the tie is going to be keenly contested but says the Super Falcons are prepared to take on the Zambians and seal qualification to the last four of the competition.
Ashleigh Plumptre featured in two of the three group stage matches and helped the team keep clean sheets against Tunisia and Botswana.
Plumptre is expected to start alongside Michelle Alozie, Oluwatosin Demehin, and Osinachi Ohale in defense for the Super Falcons.
Meanwhile, Ashleigh Plumptre seized the opportunity to name her favorite Nigerian dish in a chat with Nigeria Info after Wednesday’s training session.
Plumptre revealed that her favorite Nigerian meal is “Moi Moi” (Steamed or boiled bean pudding – a delicacy domiciled among the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria.
Nigerian football fans will hope that Plumptre’s favorite meal will propel her to have another brilliant performance on Friday.
The defender has been one of the stand-out players in Justin Madugu’s team, and her performances earned her a place in CAF’s group stage best eleven.
