Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior has become the subject of widespread social media discussion after appearing with noticeably different facial features in recent photos, prompting speculation that the Real Madrid star underwent a cosmetic procedure.
According to the New York Post, citing Brazilian celebrity website TMC, the 26-year-old is alleged to have undergone a cosmetic treatment focused on enhancing the shape of his chin.
The reports claim Vinicius visited a specialist clinic in Goiânia, Brazil, where dermatologist and cosmetic physician Dr. Alessandro Alarcão reportedly carried out a non-surgical facial contouring procedure. The treatment is said to involve injectable substances designed to redefine facial features and create a more pronounced jawline.
The speculation gained momentum after photos of Vinicius at a gym surfaced on social media. The images, shared by his former girlfriend, Virginia Fonseca, on Instagram, drew widespread attention from fans, many of whom remarked on what they described as a noticeable change in the forward’s appearance.
Neither Vinicius Junior nor his representatives have publicly confirmed or denied the reports.
The renewed attention comes just weeks after Brazil’s disappointing campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The five-time champions were eliminated in the Round of 16 following a 2-1 defeat to Norway, ending their hopes of winning a record-extending sixth world title.
Despite Brazil’s early exit, Vinicius impressed individually, scoring four goals during the tournament and emerging as one of the standout performers before his campaign was cut short.
The alleged cosmetic procedure has since generated mixed reactions online, with some fans praising the player’s new appearance while others questioned the growing trend of cosmetic enhancements among professional athletes. However, without official confirmation from the player or his medical team, the reports remain unverified.
