Asisat Oshoala has heen nominated for one of the prestigious women’s awards – the FIFA Marta Award.
The Super Falcons striker was shorlisted alongside 10 women footballers for the award which is named after Brazilian legend Martha.
The FIFA Marta Award celebrates is the women’s version of the Puskas award which celebrates the best goal in the year under review – 21 August 2023 to 10 August 2024.
Oshoala’s bicycle kick strike against for Barcelona against Benfica in the UEFA Women’s Champions League in November 2023 will compete against 10 other brilliant goals for the prize.
The former Barcelona striker came on as a second half substitute and scored the magical strike 40 seconds later to extend Barcelona’s lead.
