Former Atalanta star Massimo Donati has hailed Ademola Lookman after the Nigerian forward was crowned CAF Player of the Year.
Lookman was crowned CAF African Player of the Year, capping off an incredible 2024 that saw him lead Atalanta to their first European trophy.
Donati praised Lookman’s growth, highlighting his self-awareness as a key strength.
“Lookman is an incredible player.”
“The biggest improvement he’s made is to gain awareness of his strengths. Once you realise that, nobody can stop you.”
Lookman’s impressive form has continued into the new season, with eight goals and four assists for Atalanta, helping the team top the Serie A League table.
There are rumours that this could be his last season in Italy with clubs like Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Manchester United all credited with an interest in the 27-year-old.
