Atalanta president Antonio Percassi has addressed the speculation surrounding Ademola Lookman and a potential exit from the club.
Lookman has been in exceptional form this season, sparking interest from top European clubs like PSG and Arsenal.
Despite the rumors, Lookman has yet to receive a contract extension offer from Atalanta, with his current deal set to expire in June 2026.
Percassi has expressed the club’s desire to retain Lookman but emphasized that they will not stand in his way if he wishes to leave.
“We’ll do everything, but he must not stay against his will,” Percassi told Corriere Della Sera.
“After all, we have already replaced Zapata, Muriel, and Gomez.”
Although Percassi’s statement suggests that Atalanta will fight to keep Lookman but must be prepared for the possibility of selling the CAF Player of the Year if the situation comes down to it.
Since joining Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022, Lookman has established himself as one of Serie A’s top players.
