Bayern Munich returned to winning ways on matchday six of the UEFA Champions League after the loss at Arsenal.

The win didn’t come easy as the Bavarians came from a goal down to secure a win at the Allianz Arena.

Despite dominating proceedings in the first half, Vincent Kompany’s men couldn’t breach the defense of the Portuguese champions.

Rui Silva had a quite busy night as he made seven saves from nine shots on target.

Joshua Kimmich’s own-goal put the visitors ahead against the run of play less than ten minutes into the second half.

However, the lead lasted for a short while as Serge Gnabry fired a half volley in the back of the net from Michael Olise’s corner kick.

Moments later, 17-year-old midfielder Lennart Karl continued his impressive breakout season as he put Bayern Munich ahead.

Lennart made history as the youngest player to score in three consecutive Champions League games.

The youngster calmly controlled Konrad Lamier’s cross the box before powering a strike into the roof of the net.

Jonathan Tah sealed the win with an easy finish after he was left unmarked in the box off Serge Gnabry’s header in the box.

The loss lessens Sporting Lisbon chances of qualifying for the next round automatically while Bayern Munich go level on points – 15 with Arsenal, momentarily.

Meanwhile, Olympiacos secured their first win of the Champions League league phase with a 1-0 win away at Kairat Almaty.

Gelson Martins’ close range finish in the second half secured maximum points for the visitors in Astana.
