Michael Olise has been crowned the best French player based outside France after an outstanding campaign with Bayern Munich.
The talented winger earned the recognition ahead of several top French stars, including Kylian Mbappé, Rayan Cherki, Hugo Ekitike and William Saliba.
Olise enjoyed a brilliant first season in Germany, emerging as one of Bayern Munich’s standout performers. The 24-year-old registered 22 goals and 28 assists across all competitions and was recognised as the top passer in both the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League.
His performances have also strengthened his place in the France national football team setup, where he continues to establish himself as one of the country’s brightest attacking talents.
Reacting after receiving the award, Olise thanked Bayern Munich for their support and expressed excitement ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
“I am very grateful. I want to thank everyone at Bayern Munich. I’m looking forward to giving everything for France at the World Cup this summer,” he said.
Olise previously represented France at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, helping the team reach the football final before losing to Spain national football team.
The Bayern winger is now expected to play an important role for France at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
