Brentford ended their three-game winless run with a convincing win over Brighton at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Camerounian striker Bryan Mbuemo put the Brentford ahead with a sublime left-footed strike just nine minutes into the match.

Former Manchester United and Arsenal striker striker Danny Welbeck had his penalty claim waved off moments later but grabbed the equalizer for the visitors just before the break.

Welbeck directed a header from Mats Weifer’s cross into the back of the net to register his eighth Premier League goal of the season.

Mbuemo returned the favour to Yoan Wissa a few moments later as the DRC forward increased the lead to 3-1.

Things got bad for Brighton’s as Joao Pedro picked up a red card to reduce the Seagulls to 10 men with more than half hour of football to play.

Kaoru Mitoma reduced the deficit with less than 10 minutes to the end of regular time but Brentford were not done scoring.

Christian Norgaard directed Mathias Jensen’s cross into the box with a header into the back of the net as the match ended 4-2.

Meanwhile, Westham six-game winless run is still on as Graham Potter’s men failed to secure maximum points over already-relegated Southampton.

Jarrod Bowen put the Hammers ahaed shortly after the restart and as he powered a left-footed strike into the bottom corner.

Both sides had chances to score after the opener but couldn’t take their chances as the game dragged to the closing stages.

Chelsea loanee Lesley Ugochukwu fired a sublime strike from the edge of the box in added time of the 90 to secure a point for the Saints.

Despite being a man down, Crystal Palace held Bournemouth to a gooaless draw at the Selhurst Park.
