Bundesliga: Boniface’s Bremen beaten, Dortmund stay within Leipzig’s reach

Werder Bremen suffered their fifth loss of the season in the German Bundesliga on Sunday evening.

The loss was away at Hamburger SV as the home side picked maximum points with a narrow win.

Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface’s goal draught at the club continued as his side fell.to a 3-2 defeat.

The 24-year-old striker came on in the 79th minute help Bremen snatch the winner.

However, it was Yussuf Poulsen who did six minutes from time.

The Swiss striker pounced on a loose ball in the box and smashed it into the net to give the hosts a 3-2 win.

Borussia Dortmund stay within Leipzig’s reach on the log as the Yellow Blacks secured a comfortable win over Hoffenheim at home.

Julian Brandt and Nico Schlotterbeck found the back of the net in the 2-0 as Dortmund stay in third position with a a point off Leipzig.

Defending champions, Bayern Munich lead with 37points, RB Leipzig are eight points behind while Dortmund are in the third spot with a point behind Leipzig.
