Mamelodi Sundowns comfortably advanced after a 2–0 home win over Nigeria’s Remo Stars, completing a dominant 7–1 aggregate victory. The South African champions were in full control from start to finish, once again showing why they are among the favourites for this year’s title.

Esperance Tunis also booked their passage with a commanding 3–0 victory over Rahimo FC, cruising through 4–0 on aggregate thanks to an efficient attacking display. Meanwhile, Egypt’s Pyramids FC held Ethiopian Insurance to a 1–1 draw, doing just enough to progress on aggregate after their first-leg advantage.
Elsewhere, Stade Malien defeated Nouadhibou 2–0, while Berkane edged Al Ahly Tripoli 1–0 to move on. Simba SC were held to a goalless draw by Nsingizini Hotspurs, but advanced comfortably from the first leg.
