City’s woes continue as they blow three goal lead against Feyenoord

Tonight makes it six games without a win for Manchester Cityafter they surrendered a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 against Feyenoord in the Champions League at the Etihad.

City, on the back of five successive defeats, came into the game hoping to turn their fortunes around. They took the lead late in the first half via a Erling Haaland penalty, after he was hacked down by Quinten Timber.

City doubled their lead four minutes after the restart after Ilkay Gundogan volleyed the ball which took a deflection off David Hancko into the net.

Haaland scored his second and Man City’s third just two minutes later after Matheus Nunes picked him out after a pacy run with the ball.

A defensive mix-up between Simpson-Pusey and Josko Gvardiol allowed Hadj-Moussa round Ederson to score and start Feyenoord’s comeback.

Substitute, Santiago Gimenez got on the scoresheet in the 81st minute after converting from close range. Feyenoord completed their comeback through Hancko who headed into an empty net from the back post after he was picked out brilliantly by Igor Paixão.
