Deadlock broken! Victor Osimhen scores twice in Galatasaray narrow win over Tottenham

Victor Osimhen has finally registered his first set of Euopean goals for Galatasaray in the victory over Tottenham.

Osimhen put forth an impressive display as Galatasaray secure a narrow win over Premier League side Tottenham on matchday 4 of the Europa League.

Tottenham’s defense struggled to contain Osimhen’s runs into the box and got punished twice in less than 10 minutes.

The Super Eagles striker restored the lead of the Turkish champions after teenage striker Will Lankshear restored parity for Tottenham.

Yunus Akgun had ealier scored a screamer from the edge of Tottenham’s box to give Galatasaray the lead.

Osimhen was played through on goal from Dries Mertens pass as Tottenham attempted to play from back.

Osimhen appreciates Galatasaray fans after honouring late mother

The 25-year-old raced into the box as buried tge ball into the right corner to restore the lead for his side.

Osimhen struck again eight minutes later as rose highest to meet Dries Mertens cross into box with brilliant header.

Will Lankshear received his marching orders on the hour mark after picking up a second yellow card in the game.

Despite being a man down, Ange Postecoglou’s men didn’t relent and they almost got themselves back into game.

Dominic Solanke reduced the deficit with a decent strike after latching on to a pass from Pedro Porro.

However, the Galatasaray held on to the slim lead as they remain unbeaten with three wins and a draw.

Victor Osimhen now has 2 goals and an assist in four matches for Galatasaray in the Europa League this season.
