Nigeria’s senior men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, has been handed a tough draw ahead of this year’s Afrobasket championship.
The D’Tigers will face defending champions Tunisia, Cameroun, and Madagascar in Group B of the tournament.

Nigeria qualified for the tournament with a 3-0 win in the final window of qualification after going down 0-3 in the first window.
The 2015 African champions breezed past Libya, Cape Verde, and Uganda and finished third in the standing.
Points Guards Caleb Agada, Ike Nwanu, and Center Talib Zanna powered the D’Tigers to victories as they clinched the ticket to the championship.
Eleven-time champions Angola will host the 2025 Afrobasket scheduled for 12 – 24 August across two host cities – Luanda and Namibe.
