Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle says he now has a selection “headache” after Nigeria beat Uganda to finish top of Group C with nine points.
The Franco-Malian coach made up to seven changes to his lineup with Raphael Onyedika, Paul Onuachu, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Ryan Alebiosu (debut) in the set-up.
Club Brugge midfielder, Raphael Onyedika had a stellar performance as he won the Man of the Match award with two secondary half goals.
Paul Onuachu also scored his first goal for the Super Eagles since 2021 as he gave the Super Eagles the opener in the 28th minute.
While speaking with the media in a post-match conference, Chelle said he has a good headache considering how the players performed.
“I have now a good headache for my team selection because the other players have shown in this game what they are capable of doing. I wasn’t surprised, but now I have a big headache to solve (about team selection).”
The Super Eagles topped Group C with 9 points and will take on either Mozambique or fierce rivals, Cameroon in the second round.
