Nigeria’s Flamingos defeated Burkina Faso 2-0 on Monday to maintain their perfect start to the 2026 WAFU B U17 Girls Cup.
The Nigerian U17 women’s side secured all three points with two late goals, as Mary Dunstan opened the scoring in the 82nd minute before Oluwakemi Adegbuyi sealed the victory in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
The result gives Nigeria nine points from three matches, keeping the Flamingos at the top of the table.
Nigeria have now won all three of their games in the competition, putting them in a strong position as the tournament progresses.
Dunstan’s late opener broke Burkina Faso’s resistance before Adegbuyi added the second to confirm another victory for the Flamingos.
Nigeria will now continue their campaign at the 2026 WAFU B U17 Girls Cup with their unbeaten record and maximum points intact.
