Ademola Lookman has caught the eye of Europe’s top clubs after two seasons of exceptional performances for Atalanta.
With rumors swirling about a potential departure before the new season, former Atalanta star German Denis believes the 27-year-old Nigerian star is well-equipped to handle the demands at Napoli.
In an interview with Radio Goal, as cited by Napoli Magazine, Denis lauded Lookman’s development and game-changing ability.
“Lookman would be perfect for Napoli, he has had impressive growth,” Denis said.
“He has become a champion, and today he makes a difference. He is a player who would be great at Napoli.”
Lookman has also drawn keen interest from Barcelona, and with his contract expiring in 2026, Atalanta might consider cashing in.
Recent reports from Spain indicate that Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is a huge fan of the Nigerian and is eager to bring him to the club.
However, it’s uncertain if Barcelona will pursue a deal, as they remain focused on signing Liverpool’s Luis Díaz.
