Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly eyeing a January loan move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Nigerian winger Nathan Tella.
The Super Lig champions are seeking to bolster their attack after losing Mauro Icardi to a season-ending ACL injury.
Tella, who joined Leverkusen from Southampton last summer, has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at the BayArena.
Despite winning the Bundesliga title in his first season, the 24-year-old has made limited appearances, mostly as a substitute.
With Tella expressing frustration over his lack of playing time, a move to Galatasaray could be an attractive option.
The presence of fellow Nigerian Victor Osimhen at the club could also facilitate a smooth transition for Tella.
Osimhen has shouldered the goalscoring burden since Icardi suffered that season-ending injury, and would be delighted to have another Nigeria attacker at the club.
