TSG Hoffenheim staged a stunning second-half comeback at Lotto Park, but it wasn’t enough to save them from elimination in the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League.
RSC Anderlecht dominated the first half, with Luis Vázquez scoring in the 18th minute and Yari Verschaeren hitting the post. Hoffenheim equalized against the run of play just before halftime, with Robin Hranáč heading in Tom Bischof’s corner.
In the second half, Bischof scored a stunning strike to put Hoffenheim ahead, and David Mokwa Ntusu added another goal. Adam Hložek sealed the win with a clinical finish, despite late goals from Keisuke Goto and Ludwig Augustinsson.
Despite their impressive comeback, Hoffenheim were knocked out of the competition, while Anderlecht secured a spot in the two-legged play-off round.
