Manchester City first-choice goalkeeper Ederson Santana de Moraes has reacted to rumours linking him away from the club this summer.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper says the news about him leaving Manchester City are not true as he remains committed to the eight-time Premier League champions.
Ederson added that there is a lot of fake news circulating his name on social media for traffic and engagement, but none of it is true.
“My future is here,” said Ederson. “Some friends send me a lot of news, but 99% is fake news. I understand you guys.
“You need the news to put a like on social media, or rant for the news. I understand, but there’s a lot of fake news around my name.”

However, Ederson was linked to a move to Saudi Arabia last summer, and he later revealed that there was an “offer on the table,” but it was “way above the average.”
Ederson joined Manchester City from Benfica in 2017 for £35m and has enjoyed little or no rivalry as Pep Guardiola’s first choice.
The goalkeeper has also enjoyed a successful spell at the club, having won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, two FA Community Shields, one UEFA Champions League, one UEFA Super Cup, and a FIFA Club World Cup.
The goalkeeper is currently with Manchester City at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States as the 2023 Champions League winners look to top Group H as they take on Juventus tonight.
