Cristiano Ronaldo has once again ignited discussion following his latest interview with Piers Morgan, where the Portuguese icon made the stunning admission that he nearly signed for Arsenal early in his career, long before his legendary fame at Manchester United.

In a candid conversation, Ronaldo not only revealed his admiration for the Gunners but also expressed concern for his beloved Manchester United and praised Mikel Arteta’s title-chasing Arsenal side.
In a revelation that would shock many Manchester United supporters, Ronaldo disclosed just how close he came to wearing the red and white of North London.

“It’s a true story. I was close to joining Arsenal many years ago… but it’s the past,” he told Piers Morgan.
The Al Nassr forward went on to confess that he has always maintained an affection for the club, saying,
“Honestly, when I look at Arsenal, I’m always looking at them not like a rival. I like the team, I like them!”
Ronaldo reserved praise for Arsenal’s current development under Mikel Arteta and backed them to potentially win the Premier League this season, highlighting their current form and consistency. When asked if they could win it, he replied: “It’s possible… It’s possible for Arsenal. [Will they?!] Probably. They can do it. It’s possible. Let’s see.”
