Olympique Marseille climbed to the top of Ligue 1 with a dominant 3–0 win away at Metz, while Lens snatched a dramatic late victory at Auxerre, and Brest were left to rue missed chances in a stalemate with Nantes.

Metz 0–3 Marseille: Second-Half Surge Sends OM Top

Marseille were held in a tight first half but came alive after the interval. Igor Paixão opened the scoring in the 51st minute with a deflected effort that finally broke Metz’s resistance.

Matt O’Riley doubled the lead soon after with a well-placed curler for his first goal since joining the club, finishing off a flowing move involving Amine Gouiri, who later sealed the victory himself with a clinical finish in the 76th minute.

Auxerre 1–2 Lens: Sima Strikes at the Death

Lens were made to work for all three points but showed resolve to edge past Auxerre. Odsonne Édouard gave the visitors an early lead, but Auxerre responded after the break and levelled through Francisco Sierralta.

Just as the match seemed destined for a draw, Ayyoub Sima struck in the 96th minute to clinch a dramatic winner, sparking wild celebrations from the travelling supporters.

The victory keeps Lens positioned comfortably in the upper half, while Auxerre were left disappointed after a spirited performance.

Brest 0–0 Nantes: Lopes Denies Hosts in Goalless Draw

Brest controlled much of the game and created the better chances but were repeatedly denied by Nantes goalkeeper Anthony Lopes, who produced several key saves to keep the score level.

Missing attacking figures such as Romain Del Castillo, Brest lacked a decisive touch in the final third. Despite their dominance, they were forced to settle for a point. Nantes, meanwhile, will view it as a valuable away result and a well-earned clean sheet.
