Imagine being paid to do what you love! Isn’t that the dream of everyone? Yes, Indeed!
The 2026 World Cup has started across the United States, Canada and Mexico and a guy with Ghanaian heritage, Kevin Akoto is one of the major attractions of the tri-nation tournament.
Kevin Akoto from Jacksonville was picked by FOX Sports and Indeed along with Austin Franklin — as the “Chief World Cup Watchers” for the 2026 tournament after a super competitive process.
Thousands of fans (around 6,000!) applied through Indeed, and these two stood out for their passion, content creation skills, and vibe to hype up the games together.
Kevin’s setup is straight out of a movie: a custom glass viewing cube right in the middle of New York’s Times Square.
Tourists can watch him and his co-watcher reacting to every goal, miss, and drama while he films content for social media.
His love for the game kicked off during a family trip to Ghana, where he saw the pure passion for the Black Stars. That spark turned him into a sports content creator, and now it’s paying off big time with that $50k paycheck each.
It’s not all sofa snoozing — the pair will be in the fishbowl for 39 days creating hype. Ghanaian spirit winning again!
If you’re jealous, that’s fair enough. Most of us are just watching for free, but Kevin is getting paid to live the ultimate football summer. Imagine what $50k would do for him after the world Cup! Pure vibes.
