Milan miss out on Serie A top out as Juve, Torino others ended barren

AC Milan missed out on the chance of going top of the Serie A after failing to secure maximum points away at Parma.

Despite a brilliant start to the match, Maximilliano Allegri’s men gave away a two-goal lead to the dismay of their travelling fans.

Alexis Saelamaekers put the Rosonneri ahead after 12 minutes. The Belgian midfielder controlled a pass from Christopher Nkunku and powered a strike into the bottom corner.

After a video assistant referee review, Saelwmaekers goal stood as AC Milan took a 1-9 lead.

Another video assistant referee review came forth as AC Milan got a penalty after an infringement in the box.

Rafael Leao stepowd up and converted the spot kick to give the visitors a two-nil after 25 minutes of action.

Despite being two goals down, Parma kept pushing for a goal and it came just before the break. Andrian Bernabe Garcia scored with a delightful shot into the top corner from the edge of the box.

The first half ended 2-1 in favour of Milan but with this host going into the break with the better momentum.

Parma kept pushing for an equalizer from the start of the second half with Bernabe coming close.

Sacha Brottschgi lofted a sublime cross into the box Enrico Del Patro equalized with a header from close range.

Parma and Milan settled for a two-all draw at the end of the tie.

Meanwhile, Luciano Spalletti’s third match as new Juventus manger ended in a frustrating goalless draw at the Allianz Stadium.

Torino maintained their unbeaten streak in the Serie A as they played out a goalless draw at the Allianz Area .

Likewise, newcomers, Como and Cagliari, Lecce and Verona also played a goalless draw.
