Defending champions Napoli are back to the summit of the league table after a thrashing Inter Milan on Saturday evening.
Napoli struggled off their 6-2 loss to PSV in the UEFA Champions League to secure a comfortable 3-1 win over the vistsors.
Former Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne put the host ahead from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute after a VAR intervention.
Scott Mctominay powered a fine shot from the edge of the box to give Napoli a two-nil lead ten minutes into the second half.
Five minutes later, Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglou scored from the penalty spot to register his third goal of the season.
Cameroonian midfielder, Frank Anguissa restored Napoli’s two-goal lead seven minutes after the hour mark to kill Inter Milan’s attempt to stage a comeback.
Anguissa weaved his way around a couple of defenders before placing the ball into the far post leaving Yan Sommer with no chance.
Meanwhile, Atalanta remain winless in four matches across all competitions. Ivan Juric’s men faced-off against Cremonese who are also winless in their last five matches.
However, Atalanta survived a late scare to pick up a point on the road. Marco Brecianini scored six minutes from time to cancel our Jamie Vardy’s opener in the in the 78th minute.
In other result on Saturday, Parma and Como settled for goalless draw while Udinese edged Lecce in a 3-2 win at home.
