The Super Falcons, Flamingos and Falconets have all been nominated for the CAF award for women’s national team of the year category.

They will slug it out against Morocco, Morocco U-20, Cameroon U-20, Kenya U-17, South Africa, Zambia and Malawi womens’ national teams.

Similarly, Edo Queens goalkeeper, Monle Oyono alongside her teammate, Emem Essien have been nominated in the Interclub Player of the Year category after an impressive season with Edo Queens reaching the semifinals od the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Other nominees on the list include Sandrine Niyonkuru (Burundi / FC Masar), Merveille Nanguji (DR Congo / TP Mazembe), Lacho Flora Marta (DR Congo / TP Mazembe), Doha El Madani (Morocco / AS FAR), Khadija Er-Rmichi Morocco / AS FAR), Sanaa Mssoudy (Morocco / AS FAR), Amogelang Motau (University of the Western Cape) and Shadia Nankya (Uganda /FC Masar).

The CAF award is scheduled to hold on December 16 in Morocco.
