I’m happy we won But lessons need to be learned…We can’t play South Africa or Benin with a very flat midfield & dead wings like dis without paying dearly for it. Ndidi, Chukwueze & Simon played against us. Raphael, Bruno & Yusuf subs were timely.

However, Fiarce Ntwari reacted quickly to pull off a superb save to deny Simon.
Victor Osimhen doubled the lead for the Super Eagles in added time of the first half as he received Chukwueze’s header, beat his marker, and raced towards goal before beating Ntwari with a precise finish.
Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali was somewhat pedestrian in the match but made two comfortable saves to keep a clean sheet.
