Barcelona, city rival Espanyol , Las Palmas and Mallorca all recorded victories away from home on Saturday.

Mallorca started the road wins with a shocking 2-0 win over Real Sociedad at the Reale Stadium. Canadian forward Cyle Larin, and Spanish midfeider Sergi Darder scored in each halve to give the visitors a famous win.

Las Palmas got the “memo” and thrashed Getafe 3-1 at Coliseum. Despite scoring first, Jose Bordalas’ men got beaten comfortably.

Espanyol deapite playing far away in Vigo got caught the “fever” in time with a shock win over Celta Vigo.

Jean Fernandez bagged a brace as the 22-year-old Spanish forward ended Celta Vigo’s eight-match unbeaten run.

The Saturday “fever” ended with Barcelona as the league leaders secured a narrow win away at Leganes.

Jorge Saenz did the visitors a favour with an own goal in the second half as Barcelona increased the gap between them and defending champions Real Madrid to seven momentarily.
