Nottingham Forest’s new manager, Ange Postecoglou, has provided an injury update on Ola Aina ahead of his team’s trip to face Arsenal.
Aina sustained a hamstring injury during Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against South Africa in Bloemfontein on Tuesday. The 28-year-old was replaced by Bright Osayi-Samuel just 10 minutes into the encounter, after playing 87 minutes in the previous game against Rwanda.

The full-back is now considered doubtful for Saturday’s match at the Emirates Stadium.
Postecoglou revealed that Aina will undergo further tests to determine the severity of the injury.
“I think we’ve got a clean bill of health, apart from Aina,” Postecoglou told reporters. “We will get some information on him this afternoon after some scans.”
The former Chelsea player has made three league appearances for the Tricky Trees this season, playing every minute and continuing his run as one of the club’s most important players.
Aina narrowly missed out on the 2024-25 Premier League team of the season after an exceptional season.
