Pirlo rolls back the years with stunning free-kick as Milan and Tottenham Legends clash

In a thrilling Legends match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Andrea Pirlo reminded the world of his timeless class with a stunning free-kick for AC Milan Glorie against Tottenham Legends.

Despite Milan falling to a 6-2 defeat, Pirlo’s exquisite strike from 25 yards was the standout moment of the game, showcasing the effortless technique that made him one of football’s greatest midfielders.

The charity match featured legendary names on both sides, with fans treated to a spectacle of skill, nostalgia, and memorable goals.

The event featured numerous football icons, with Spurs Legends boasting names like Robbie Keane, who netted a first-half hat-trick, Jermain Defoe, and Dimitar Berbatov. AC Milan Glorie’s lineup included esteemed players such as Dida, Cafu, and Pirlo himself.

Tottenham dominated the first half, leading 5-0 at the break. Keane opened the scoring with a close-range finish, followed by Defoe’s strike from the edge of the box. Keane added two more goals, while Sandro contributed with a powerful shot.

In the second half, AC Milan Glorie showed resilience. Christian Zaccardo reduced the deficit with a close-range goal. Then, in the 82nd minute, Pirlo showcased his trademark free-kick technique, curling the ball over the wall and into the net, much to the delight of fans and teammates alike.

Despite Milan’s efforts, Tottenham sealed the win with a late goal from Michael Brown, concluding the match at 6-2.

The game not only provided entertainment but also served a noble cause, supporting both the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and Fondazione Milan through the Sport For Change program, aiming to benefit young athletes in need.
