Former Nigerian women’s national football team goalkeeper Precious Dede has announced the joyful birth of quadruplets, bringing a rare and heart-warming moment to fans across Nigeria and beyond.
The 46-year-old shared the news on her social media pages on Sunday, revealing that she and her family are now blessed with four children at once; two boys and two girls. Precious Dede described the arrival of her children as an evidence to patience and faith after “many years of waiting” for motherhood.
In her emotional message, Dede wrote:
FOUR precious blessings at once. Double the boys, double the girls, quadruple the joy. Our hearts are full beyond words. Years of prayers, tears, and hope… now turned into four miracles. God is faithful
She added that this moment was “proof that delay is not denial,” expressing immense gratitude and joy for the “overflowing” blessing.
Dede is widely respected in Nigerian football. She represented the Super Falcons for more than a decade, earning 99 international caps and featuring in multiple FIFA Women’s World Cups and Olympic Games before retiring from professional football in 2016.
