Premier League announces February Player and Manager of the Month nominees

The Premier League has officially revealed the nominees for the EA SPORTS Player of the Month and Barclays Manager of the Month awards for February 2025.

After an action-packed month filled with standout performances, six players and five managers have been shortlisted for their exceptional contributions.

 

Player of the Month Nominees

1. Beto (Everton)

The forward was the Premier League’s second-highest scorer for February with five goals in as many matches. He began the month with a brace in a 4-0 win over Leicester City.

He followed that up with the openers in the next three matches against Liverpool, Crystal Palace, and Manchester United, as the Toffees went unbeaten through February with two wins and three draws.

 

2. Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool)

The midfielder played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s success, contributing two goals and an assist.

He created the opener and scored the second in their 2-0 win at Manchester City and was again on target in the following match, as Newcastle were beaten by the same scoreline.

 

3. Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace)

The striker’s clinical finishing was instrumental for Crystal Palace, as he found the back of the net four times, helping his team secure crucial points throughout the month.

 

4. Yankuba Minteh (Brighton & Hove Albion)

The young talent showcased his potential by delivering standout performances, including two goals and one assist that bolstered Brighton’s attacking options.

 

5. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

The Egyptian forward continued his remarkable form, contributing significantly to Liverpool’s attacking prowess with six crucial goals and four assists that maintained their position at the top of the table.

6. Djed Spence (Tottenham Hotspur)

The defender enjoyed a standout February, starting in each of Tottenham’s three consecutive wins. He earned the Premier League’s Player of the Match award after a stellar display in a 2-0 win at Brentford.

He also helped secure back-to-back clean sheets in a 1-0 victory over Manchester United, and scored his first Premier League goal in a 4-1 win over Ipswich Town.

 

Barclays Manager of the Month Nominees

1. Oliver Glasner (Crystal Palace)

Under Glasner’s leadership, Crystal Palace extended their unbeaten run on the road to nine Premier League matches. The Eagles secured back-to-back wins at Manchester United (2-0) and Fulham (2-0), and an impressive 4-1 home victory over Aston Villa.

 

2. David Moyes (Everton)

Moyes spearheaded Everton’s resurgence, earning draws with Liverpool and Manchester United, while also picking up wins over Crystal Palace and Leicester City.

 

3. Ange Postecoglou (Tottenham Hotspur)

Postecoglou guided Tottenham to three consecutive victories in February, including a notable 1-0 win over Manchester United, stabilizing their position in the league.

 

4. Marco Silva (Fulham)

Silva’s management led Fulham to crucial victories, including a 2-1 win over Newcastle United, showcasing tactical acumen and team resilience.

 

5. Arne Slot (Liverpool)

Slot’s strategies have been instrumental in maintaining Liverpool’s dominance, with the team securing significant wins, such as the 2-0 victory over Manchester City, reinforcing their title aspirations.

 

Fans are encouraged to participate in the voting process for both awards, with polls open until Monday, 10 March, at 12:00 GMT. The winners will be determined through a combination of public votes and the decisions of a panel of football experts.
