Désiré Doué is now a Global Superstar
At just 19 years and 362 days, Désiré Doué announced himself on the grandest stage, scoring twice and providing an assist in a display of skill, composure, and flair.
His early assist to Achraf Hakimi and a deflected strike within the first 20 minutes set the tone, while his second goal—a clinical finish in the 63rd minute—sealed Inter’s fate.
Doué became only the third teenager to score in a Champions League final, joining legends like Patrick Kluivert (1995) and Carlos Alberto (2004), cementing his status as a rising force in world football.

Ousmane Dembele must win the Ballon d’Or
While Ousmane Dembélé didn’t find the net, his influence was undeniable, with two assists that showcased his vision and dynamism. His clever pass set up Doué’s first goal, and a delightful flick contributed to the third, highlighting his pivotal role in PSG’s attack.
The 28-year-old’s remarkable season—25 goals and 8 assists in 28 appearances in 2025, including 14 goal contributions in the Champions League—has positioned him as a serious contender for the Ballon d’Or.
Inter’s Frailties Exposed Against a Superior PSG
Inter Milan’s journey to the final included a dramatic, hard-fought semi-final win over Barcelona, but their lack of cohesion and true star power was laid bare in Munich.
The Nerazzurri, averaging 30 years and 4 months in their starting XI, struggled to match PSG’s intensity and fluidity, with key players like Lautaro Martínez and Marcus Thuram neutralized.
The 5-0 scoreline—the largest margin in a Champions League final—proved Inter’s luck had run out against a far more dynamic and disciplined PSG side.
