Al Nassr secured a last-gasp 3-2 win against Damac in the Saudi Professional League, despite the absence of star players Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané, who were rested ahead of an upcoming Champions League fixture.
The match began unfavorably for Al Nassr as Ramzi Solan put Damac ahead in the first half. However, Aymeric Laporte leveled the score in the 25th minute, capitalizing on a series of rebounds in the box.
The second half saw Al Nassr take the lead through Al-Hassan’s powerful strike in the 70th minute. Damac responded swiftly, with Stanciu equalizing just three minutes later. The decisive moment came in stoppage time when Al-Ghannam scored, securing the victory for Al Nassr.
This crucial win keeps Al Nassr in third place, vital for qualification to the next Champions League, especially after their recent setback against Al Qadsiah.
The team now faces a challenging schedule, including a Champions League match against Yokohama F. Marinos and a league game against leaders Al Ittihad.
