Senegal have booked their spot in the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after seeing off Egypt in the semi-final.
Former Liverpool forward, Sadio Mane scored the decisive goal in the second half to send the Terenga Lions into their fourth final.
Sadio Mane powered a low drive from range in the 77th minute after Gana Gueye’s blocked shot bounced off his chest area.
The Senegalese dominated proceedings from start to finish as the Pharaohs defended deep hoping to catch their opponents in transition.
However, Hossam Hassan’s side struggled to get hold of the ball as the 2021 champions won most of the second balls.
The win means Senegal will compete for the chance to win their second title while Egypt’s wait for a record eighth title continues.
Senegal will take on Nigeria or host Morocco in the Sunday’s final at the 69,5000 Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
