In a day of surprising results and impressive performances, Torino secured a shock 1-0 victory at Roma, handing the Giallorossi their first loss under new coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
The winning goal came from Giovanni Simeone, who scored his first Serie A goal in over a year with a magnificent strike in the 59th minute. The win was also a first of the season for Torino and their new coach, Marco Baroni.
Elsewhere, Atalanta clinched their first win of the season by crushing Lecce 4-1 without wantaway star Ademola Lookman.
The star of the show was Nicola Zalewski, who grabbed a goal and an assist while also hitting the crossbar. Giorgio Scalvini headed in the opener, and a brace from Charles Ketelaer sealed the dominant performance.
In other Sunday fixtures, AC Milan secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Bologna, while Udinese remained unbeaten after a 1-0 win at newly promoted Pisa.
