Victor Osimhen has been a hot topic this summer, but despite heavy speculation, no solid deal has materialized.
The 26-year-old rejected three lucrative offers from Saudi club Al-Hilal, determined to continue competing in Europe. A return to Galatasaray, where he was electric, on loan, could pull at his heartstrings.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has personally reached out to the Napoli striker to secure a permanent transfer, according to A Spor commentator Zeki Uzundurukan.
Uzundurukan, quoted by Habersarikirmizi, revealed that Buruk spoke directly with Osimhen, emphasizing the club’s interest.
“Okan Buruk had a phone conversation with Victor Osimhen and said, ‘We are waiting for you at Galatasaray.’ It was a very good meeting,” Uzundurukan said.
Osimhen enjoyed a sensational 2024/25 season at Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists across all competitions.
Remaining at Napoli is out of the question, so it is only a matter of time before the Super Eagles’ goal-machine makes a decision.
