In a dramatic night of Champions League action, Manchester City scored an easy 2-0 win against 10-man Napoli, while Galatasaray were humiliated without their star striker, Victor Osimhen.
Pep Guardiola’s side made a perfect start to their European campaign at the Etihad.
Napoli’s task was made significantly harder when captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo was shown a red card after just 22 minutes.

Erling Haaland broke the deadlock in the second half, scoring his 50th Champions League goal in a record-breaking 49 matches. Jeremy Doku added a second goal soon after to seal a dominant victory.
The mood was very different for Galatasaray, who were thrashed 5-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt. The Turkish side’s defensive frailties were badly exposed, and they were equally weak in attack without the firepower of Osimhen, who was ruled out with an ankle injury.
The defeat is a major blow to their hopes of progressing in the tournament and leaves them with a lot of work to do.
