Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has firmly distanced himself from the collapse of his potential transfer to AC Milan.
The 24-year-old, who joined Bremen on a season-long loan from Bayer Leverkusen, addressed the media with a composed demeanor, emphasizing his resilience and readiness to move forward.
Boniface’s move to Bremen came after a dramatic transfer window that saw him initially linked with a loan move to AC Milan.
However, the deal fell through due to concerns over his fitness, a development that drew significant attention and speculation.
Speaking at the press conference, Boniface was unequivocal in his stance:
“The Milan deal not going through, that’s not on me. They decided not to go through with it.
“I have a strong mentality,” he stated, reflecting on how he perceives life’s challenges.
“You know, I see life as if this happened; it was meant to happen. And so if today was meant to happen, it was meant to happen. If this wasn’t meant to happen, there’s no problem. I move on to the next thing.”
With his focus now firmly on making an impact at Werder Bremen, Boniface aims to silence doubters and get his career back on track in the Bundesliga.
