Victor Osimhen’s acrobatic strike against Alanyaspor has been named as the 2024/2025 Turkish Super League Goal of the Season.
Osimhen powered a sublime overhead kick late in the game to wrap up a convincing 3-o win for Galatasaray over the host in October 2024.
The Super Eagles striker came to Galatasaray on loan from Napoli after a dramatic transfer window, as he was frozen out of the team.
However, the 27-year-old lit up the Turkish Super League as he emerged as top scorer with 26 goals in 30 league matches.
Osimhen’s goals helped Galatasaray secure their 25th Turkish Super League triumph as well as the Turkish Cup.
Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen remains a Napoli player with the expiration of his loan spell at Galatasaray, but has been heavily linked with a move away from the reigning Serie A champions.
Recently, the 26-year-old striker rejected Al Hilal’s proposal, which would have seen him earn about €40 million per year.
The Saudi club, however, are reportedly prepared to send Osimhen a fresh proposal as they remain keen on the striker joining them ahead of the new season after pulling out of the deal last summer.
Al Hilal, according to reports, have already reached an agreement with Napoli to pay Osimhen’s €75 million release clause.
