Man City captain, Kyle Walker has condemned the ‘vile, racist and threatening abuse’ he received online in the aftermath of City’s defeat to Juventus in the Champions League.

The Cityzens have been experiencing a downward spiral of recent, registering just a win in their last seven matches in all competitions.

Walker posted two Instagram stories showing screenshots of messages he received on Thursday, one of which included a racial slur and another doctored image of him showing Walker wearing a suicide bomber vest.

In a post on X and Instagram, he said, “No one should ever be subjected to the sort of vile, racist and threatening abuse I have received online since last night’s match.”

“Instagram and the authorities need to stop this happening, for the sake of all who are suffering this abuse. It is never acceptable.”
