Wizkid applauds Super Eagles’ new energy ahead of World Cup Qualifiers

Nigerian music sensation, Wizkid recently expressed his enthusiasm for the Super Eagles’ renewed vigor under head coach Eric Chelle.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Wizkid shared, “New Super Eagles team! Love the energy.”

The Super Eagles are gearing up for crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

As of Tuesday morning, 21 players had arrived at the team’s camp, with only Sadiq Umar and Alhassan Yusuf yet to join. The squad has since been completed with Yusuf’s arrival in Kigali.

The team’s training sessions have been marked by high spirits and intense drills, reflecting a collective determination to secure World Cup qualification.

Notably, midfielder Papa Daniel, who received his first national team call-up, expressed his surprise and excitement, stating, “I never expected it.”

The Super Eagles will face Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Friday, March 21, followed by a match against Zimbabwe at Uyo Stadium on Tuesday, March 25.

These fixtures are pivotal for Nigeria’s World Cup aspirations, and the team’s revitalized energy has ignited optimism among fans and celebrities alike.

Wizkid’s endorsement has further amplified the nation’s support, with many hoping that the Super Eagles will translate this renewed vigor into on-field success.
