Wolverhampton Wanderers’ head coach, Vítor Pereira, has heaped praise on Tolu Arokodare for his impressive performance and first goal for the club.
The striker’s late strike secured a 2-0 Carabao Cup victory over fellow Premier League side Everton at Molineux.
The goal arrived in the 87th minute, providing a much-needed boost for the team. Arokodare, who arrived from Genk in the summer, was a second-half substitute for Strand Larsen.
He showed his attacking prowess by racing onto a through ball from João Gomes and confidently slotting it home from inside the box. His goal came after Marshall Munetsi had given the hosts the lead in the first half.

Arokodare praised for impact
Vítor Pereira believes that getting off the mark so early will significantly boost the forward’s confidence and help him settle in further at the club.
“Tolu has settled in really well since arriving, and tonight’s goal will give him confidence,” Pereira told the club’s official website.
“It’s always good for a striker to get off the mark early.”
