Zamalek part ways with ex-Super Eagles manager Peseiro after 17 matches

Zamalek football club and former Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro have ended their work relationship on mutual agreement.

The 14-time Egyptian Premier League Champions announced the sacking of the ex-Porto manager in a statement via its X page on Wednesday.

Zamalek and Jose Peseiro agree to end the relationship by mutual consent. We wish you the best in the future”

He was appointed as coach of the Egyptian side on 14 February 2025, signing a one-and-a-half-year contract.

Peseiro managed three consecutive 1-1 draws in his first three matches as coach of the side.

The former Super Eagles manager had seven wins, two losses, and eight draws in 17 matches.

Zamalek is Jose Peseiro’s 20th coaching job since 1992, when he took his first job as coach of União Desportiva de Santarém.
